Part Four: Fallen Jedi has fast paced action with some truly great lightsaber duels, Ray Stevenson leaves a mark in Star Wars as Baylan Skoll, one of the better antagonists

Part Four: Fallen Jedi is directed by Peter Ramsey and written by Dave Filoni, the showrunner. If you haven't noticed by now, this is a serialized show and the episode begins immediately after the previous episode with our heroes, Ahsoka and Sabine are stranded on the same planet as the antagonists with time running out. It's high stakes and you feel it throughout the episode, on the edge of your seat while a crimson red lightsaber clashes with Ahsoka's white, there's a lot of lightsaber duels and I love the amount of work went into them and the whole episode.

The premise of the episode is: Hera risks her career to help her friends while Ahsoka and Sabine confront enemies.

The episode stars Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth and David Tennant voices Huyang, with two guest appearances I won't spoil here. What can I say about the acting in this episode? Whatever you have to say about Rosario Dawson's wooden portrayal of Ahsoka, that's no longer there in my opinion, instead we get more of the Ahsoka Tano we know and love from Clone Wars. I really like the writing for all the characters in this episode and honestly it was my favorite of the four. The characterization is right and the actors do a terrific job, especially the performances of Ray Stevenson, Rosario Dawson, Ivanna Sakhno and Natasha Liu Bordizzo.

Star Wars has always been reminiscent of Samurai movies, especially Kurosawa's, Dave Filoni brings the inspiration and style back to Star Wars. That's something I wrote for my review in the first episode and it's done perfectly here with the characters using different stances reminiscent of the samurai stances but it's of course called forms in the Star Wars universe. There's plenty of lightsaber duels to talk about, the rematch of Sabine and Shin but it's the ones with Ahsoka which is really the highlight of the episode, her going up against Marrok and especially her duel against Baylan which might have been the best lightsaber duel I've seen since Ahsoka vs Maul in Clone Wars S7. There's something with directors in live action during the Disney era which can't direct lightsaber duels or really choreograph them, well, Peter Ramsey was the perfect choice to direct episode four of Ahsoka. When you look at his filmography and what he directed, there's not a lot, but he has the talent. Dave Filoni's writing are really good in this episode, it didn't feel like there were much dialogue as it was very action packed, and honestly it would have ruined the tension if people would have talked too much. Instead we got an episode full of suspense and tension, with Ray Stevenson probably getting most lines to speak and his performance is just perfect, something I wrote in my previous review is how it's in a Shakespearian way, his performance. Ray Stevenson is just terrific and I love the bond his character has with Ivanna Sakhno's character, I strongly believe Shin is Baylan's daughter. Sakhno's performance is in my opinion one of the better ones in the episode, how she shows all that emotion without speaking, brilliantly done. Ray Stevenson leaves a mark in Star Wars as Baylan Skoll, one of the better antagonists. Episode four: Fallen Jedi was a brilliant episode, the best one yet in my opinion.
