So yeah spoilers obviously.
What an episode. It's been great seeing an old face show up in every single episode so far (Carson in this one!), but they've all sort of made sense too. None of the returning characters, rather it be cameos or main characters, feel tacked on just for nostalgia sake. I love that. That's how you do fan-service but not at the expense of a good show.
This was a blast and without a doubt the best of the first four episodes. All of the fighting was great. While this certainly doesn't hold any of my favorite lightsaber duels, they all felt very gritty. You can just feel all of the punches, force chokes and lightsabers clashing. Even the short fight with Huyang was really well done. What a great character he is.
Baylin is also becoming a highlight of the show. I loved all of his dialogue and manipulation here. Dude is just a really smooth talker/negotiator. Ray Stevenson is excellent so far, especially in this episode.
I wasn't at all expecting to see the World Between Worlds in another Star Wars show. And it looks like Hayden Christensen is actually Anakin in this! I must admit, that gave me goosebumps and a big smile on my face. Even through the de-aging was kind of... yeah😅Very curious to see where that goes. I better not cry...
This was a very good midpoint episode. I'm anxiously, ANXIOUSLY waiting for next week. I want the rest of this series NOW. Dave Filoni has some weak Star Wars content, no doubt about it, but he also has some of the very best in the franchise and so far I love this series. People who haven't seen the last season of Rebels are in for a real treat!
