I feel like kids films are going to be a trial ground for producers, companies and studios to see if audiences will consume AI content without noticing it's AI. That's what this movie felt like...a film written, structured, and performed by AI...and there's a couple of others I've watched recently that feel similar (such as Cats in the Museum in the cinema).
This movie felt extremely unemotional and detached. The structure felt formulaic but in a way that just didn't feel like humans were behind it making the said formulaic mistakes, if that makes sense?
Performances felt like they were built on a voice artist recording their voice for 2 hours and then AI increased the vocabulary and filled in the blanks and beefed it up. But I'm sure they were paid for just 2 hours of work making the voice samples. Just an incredibly aloof feeling watching this. I think my kids sense something is off but can't articulate it... too much computer involvement is all I can speculate on right now. Let's see how content evolves or devolves in the coming year.
