I loved the gameplay with its gory combat and easy to learn defensive system,but the problems started appearing when some missions were pointless basically just fillers and also venice beach didn't had such a big impact on the story it felt like an area to just complete really quickly to go to ocean avenue,also the fact that you never fight any humans is kind of disappointing but easy to miss.
The ending of the game is kind of unclear but its okay since it leaves space for a DLC or a sequel but maybe the writers could have been more clear to what happened to reed's daughter but for the most part its fine also i want to say that the games story is much like dying light 1's story it basically has the same ending since in both games you left on a cliffhanger to what happens to the cure in dying light after you defeat Rais crane just sits there talking to the GRE about the hard drive with the cure and after that the credits roll and in dead island the same thing basically happens where you are left to find Tisha with no conclusive end to the story hopefully the game's potential dlc is ending with tisha found and the world saved but until it's released we will never know.
To summaries my review to dead island 2 is a game good game gameplay wise but story wise is a 7/10 game.
