Gone In A Flash

It is one of the better DC movies, which is not some groundreaking statement by itself. It's good, but it's not the "greatest comic book movie ever" like it was promoted for a few months and you gonna see it by yourself soon.

Everyone is good in their roles, Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Keaton....especially Keaton. I mean he got the scene stealers moments, alongside with Sasha Calle. Ben Affleck probably got the best few minutes as Batman and I mean better than everything he did in the past few of the movies, which is kinda shameful, because he deserved solo movie.

The story as you can expect is much inspired by the Flashpoint comics, but there are some big changes of course. Most of the story progression feels fine. Everything with Barry and his mother and the scenes where Affleck's Batman is talking with Barry is great, the humor for me it's hit and miss, the same goes for the VFX.

Props to Ezra Miller for portraying two irritating characters, making the younger Barry more irritating and the one we know kinda wiser. There are scenes when you can clearly see that one of the Flash characters it's not Ezra. It's the stunt double with blurred face or just VFX, but it's much noticeable. As a whole the desert scene it's kinda messy in my opinion talking about the effects.

Good to see Michael Shannon back. Great actor in great character. Michael Keaton as I said bring the smile to your face every time if you're from the kids grown with his Batman. Sasha Calle is really good addition to the movie. In some scenes her eyes and facial expression just talk by themselves. Speaking about characters, there are some cameos, some of which I guess you already know, some not, I'm not gonna spoil anything, but will say that some feels earned, others just throw there. In the end it's fun, don't get me wrong.

It is up there with "Man of Steel" and "The Suicide Squad" for the best DCEU movie. Like I said it's far from masterpiece, given that we watched "Across the Spider-Verse" so soon, it's like watching "Dungeons & Dragons" after "Inception", both enjoyable, but on a whole different level.

Kudos to Andy Muschietti, the man who delivered this movie, after the project got a few other directors, was in works for decades, been in production, halted, rewritten and finally see the light of sun, or maybe I should say was hit by the bold of lightning.

And yeah...there is a post credit scene, make of it what you want knowing the recent DC changes.
