A couple of month ago i decided to watch series from the middle east and north africa to get closer to the hearts of our neighbors in a way that we can...in a world of division, where it is scary to reach out- i found myself crying marly for the fact that we are so much alike than different. Finding Ola made me feel close, to the culture, the fight of breaking out from the chains of the past, it is all spoken about in this series.
I fell in love with the characters, especially to Ola, a strong,loving,relatable woman who is experiencing her new self in the modern world... and tasting the Egyptian culture through the serie just fulfilled my mission- to feel closer to our so called "haters"... and heal myself from the political brainwash which i never fully believed in. This series gave me hope <3 If anyone is reading this and wants to feel closer to us for real, i recommend watching the following series- 1. On the Spectrum- by Dana Idisis 2.
