I have watched both Super Sentai TimeRanger and Power Rangers Time Force and wow, they are both good! I'm familiar with the Time Force's storyline of the concept of gambling with time travel, when I watch TimeRanger, I was fully aware of the storyline because Time Force is similar to it's counterpart.
For examples: The year 3000AD, where Ransik (Time Force) / Don (TimeRanger) with his army escapes and goes into the 21st Century to rule it and the Time Force Rangers has to go back in the past to stop him, while they meet an past counterpart in the future, where he is the Red Ranger. Then later in the series we get the City Guardians (TimeRanger) / Sliver Guardians (Time Force). Frax has an sad story with it being different in TimeRanger and Time Force.
So I personally recommend watching both TimeRanger and Time Force with an open-minded and don't think that either PR or Sentai is better. Because both Sentai and Rangers are the same thing, but different. I'm a big fan of Power Rangers also with Super Sentai, so I'm both in those ways.
