Solid noir
5 June 2023
A man suffering from PTSD from the Spanish civil war returns home to find his pal dead and a possible conspiracy to get the banner he took during the war. Nazis are involved and everyone seems to be after him. Good thing he has a gun!

This is an okay twisty turney noir with lots of betrayals and a good femme fatale in Ohara. It's a little too much on the side of heavy exposition, but the PTSD angle is interesting. Garfield comes across as plucky and full of gumption and is a good lead while the look is suitably shadowy and dark. Dames, cops, baddies, and a war in the background keep this one above average.
