The two titles ("A Deadly Mistake" and "You'll Never Leave Me") did not do justice to the themes explored in this film.

But the standout in this film was the conflicted character of Jimmy Conway, the troubled brother-in-law of Patrick Bannister. Jimmy's problem was that he was unable to think for himself as he fell under the sway of his formidable and neurotic sister-in-law, Susan. Instead of following his better instincts, he became enmeshed in her weird fantasies.
The film is worth watching for the unfolding of Jimmy's bifurcated persona as he toggles between the amoral influence of Susan and his own moral compass.
