I would have thought this was a Romantic Drama Series featuring leading male Matt Robertson, cast for being handsome, romantic, a man who can take the lead without being controlling, adventurous, but it was a real life documentary where all of his characteristics are not cast, but real. His first 2 dates with Khani (he asked her out via dating app) were fun; first a dinner where they clicked but he gave her a kiss on the cheek and left (I thought that was great - no pressure!), next was an axe throwing date in a bar with his friend who came along for support - and he gave her a regular kiss this time (so romantic) but no pressure again. Third date, he boldly asks her to Costa Rica to share an adventurous trip with him, and Khani being a little crazy herself cautiously accepts. Little did they know, they would be stuck there because of COVID virus indefinitely. Neither was looking for love or a relationship, they were only looking for a person to have fun with. The love story develops....... I took a star off due to I am curious if they went back later to video tape some extra scenes for the documentary as some other reviews suggest, but if they did I don't think it takes away from the story at all. It's an epic love story - they were living life while some of the rest of us were stuck in our homes and condos for months doing nothing, and Matt took the initiative to make it a fun time. #MovieMatt.
