Hell Hound Gang
23 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The film starts in East Texas 1873 and is inspired by the life of Ivan Turchin, a Russian who fought in the American Civil War. He is a merchant living in the town of Blind Chapel near Rio Bravo which made the title confusing. He is introduced as a tough guy, but fair. A couple of Marshals bring in Ethan Crawley (Matthias Hues) the head of the Hellhound Gang. The mayor (Lee Dawson) doesn't want him in town because he knows the gang will come for him. The sheriff (Joe Cornet) allows him to stay. We know there will be that classical final confrontation of the gang vs. The town. Until that point we have a build up with a gang insider, fake Pinkerton agents, and Ivan explaining his checkered past.

The dialogue wasn't great and our Russian sounded like he studied acting from an Austrian named Arnold. The film was mostly Ivan staying cool while everyone else is in a panic and somehow how he never gets shot.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
