When Tim Collier sees a distressed woman on the bridge of the Seine River. It brings him to get into Algerian political turmoil as it fought for independence against France.

Tim goes to save her as she looks like that she is going to jump. Her name is Marie, she is from Algeria, has no official papers but that is all he and Nicole learn. She runs off.

Intrigued, Tim manages to track down her uncle. Dr Fawzil who is well to do, he tells Tim that her family in Algeria were killed. He has taken her in. It seems Marie has difficulty in settling in Paris, especially as an illegal immigrant.

When Tim catches Marie, there is a shady Algerian on her tail. Just maybe Marie has been more involved in the turmoil in Algeria.

There certainly seems to be more location shooting in France in this story, just more than library footage. It would have helped if the episode had more information on the Algerian situation.

It might have been current at the time of broadcast, 60 years later, I had to look it up. Of course there are a few more twists in the story.

It was amusing to see Frank Thornton pop up again, this time playing an Algerian.
