This was well-intentioned at the start, but the story had no build up and I had a neutral expression on my face during the bulk of it. It felt like a rip off of The Wonder Years, except in this case it's filled with impractical jokes, profanity, sex, fire, and violent bloody altercations. The characters also had poor development and were unlikable and heartless.
I liked the main actress who played Grace, but that was about it. The main actor who played Conrad was too rigid and had no comedic instincts.
This movie was dry as a bone and had a pale script. Usually a coming of age movie may inspire some self-reflection or nostalgia - this movie did neither.
