This episode made me wish that something like "the power" actually existed. When the Mayor's daughter told her mother about walking in the dark without being scared - that was so powerful! Because girls and women everywhere can relate to that story - always being alert, walking with car keys in fist, always checking on girl friends, making sure they are safe, following a thousand rules to prevent getting raped. Imagine a world, where girls could grow up without fear! I felt such a longing to receive a gift like "the power" after that episode. But alas, I have to send my daughters to self-defense classes instead.
