Deeply moving
10 April 2023
I wouldn't normally watch a film about a city trader as I find them self-absorbed, money obsessed and without moral fibre, however I was intrigued by this true story and I'm also a big fan of Anna Friel (she's from my home town in Lancashire). The film deals with the child abuse delicately while showing the devastating impact it has on the adult man... a beautifully directed and engaging film..with great performances from all of the leads. Great use of music freedom m the respective eras also adds to the atmosphere. This is a film that anyone dealing with child abuse should be made to see - highly recommended.
