I am slightly fascinated by all the tulips strewn about the farm and I wonder which ones are real and aren't. It's obvious the ones in the large fields are real, but around the house and stuff, and in the hothouse, I have doubts. And why am I commenting about the flowers and whether or not they are real? It's because the flowers are the highlight of 'Tulips in Spring'. They could have made a ten minute short and it would be sufficient to capture the full essence of the film, at least with a condensed version we wouldn't be subjected to the 80 additional minutes of filler.

I like all the actors, they are all very wonderful and charismatic and gel nicely. The lead actress is generally given these dull roles and I'm at a loss for why Hallmark leaves her with such washed out roles. The lead male is perfect for the character type he portrays, although he would be a better cowboy with a serious and quiet mystique. Some girls melt for this type of country boy.

I love the scenery around the tulip farm and all the ins and outs of farming life, but somehow this film came up as bland as a bowl of plain oatmeal.
