Cowboys is a very touching movie in my opinion, not in the way that it'll make you cry, but more in the way it'll make you think. You can't help but root for the father many times during the movie. It tackles the issue of parents unable to accept their child once they come out as trans. The acting was nice, the scenery was beautiful and the characters were interesting and had a certain depth to them. You could get in their shoes and understand them. Overall I thought it was a very simple, authentic movie. You don't watch it for a car chase, you watch it for the message it has and how it portrays it.
