The Flash's downfall to mediocrity continues

Warning: Spoilers
The Flash has always been a comfort show for me and I rewatched previous seasons many times. This episode, this season, the past few seasons to be frank, were one of the most insufferable pieces of television ever created.

Believe me when I say this, I was a fan of The Flash since I was a kid. I used to watch episodes every week when the first few seasons aired and yes, they weren't perfect but they were very fun to watch as a kid and it was enjoyable for me to see The Flash have it's mighty battles and fight his biggest foes. But ever since the second half of Season 6, I have tried and tried time after time to sit through 40 minutes of cringe dialogue, messy plots and storylines, and ridiculous VFX.

I think one of the main problems of The Flash's downfall is unrealistic budgets causing the VFX to be ridiculous and having no choice but to hire TERRIBLE writers. This season started with the first episode being pretty good but this one was just unwatchable.

We start off with The Flash's latest enemies from the previous episodes, once again with cringy dialogue trying to steal objects to create a time machine for their benefactor, which is revealed to be Red Death. The Flash brings a team of rogues together to steal an object before the enemies steal it. They then for some reason, don't listen to Barry because apparently the rogues are just a group of sensitive little babies. Anyways, Barry apologizes because that's what big kids do and they get in the facility in the most least epic way. Apparently a highly guarded facility doesn't have security cameras and the rogues just stand there in front of the generators without any guards or any security cameras. The enemies then arrive and Chillblaine, being the worst character ever in the show, betrays Barry and the rogues and reveals to be Red Death's lackey. Once again, cringy dialogue. The CGI was... fine for The Flash. Red Death then reveals herself in the worst way possible saying "I am vengeance". She reveals to be Batwoman being the new avatar of the Negative Speedforce. This is by far the WORST villain reveal ever since Season 7.

Overall, a terrible episode. I didn't enjoy it at all and I had a very rough time sitting through it. I hope Eric Wallace and his writing team get a hold of themselves so this season could at least be better than Season 7.

Episode: 903, Rating: 6/10.
