Quite a moving abduction story!

Warning: Spoilers
Katie Douglas nails this difficult role. She portrays Kara Robinson, a 15-year old girl whose parents are split up. She and her friend, Jess, are planning to go her lake house but she asks Kara to water the grass.

While outside, a car pulls up and a man gets out and comes over to Kara. He distracts her and then holds a gun to her throat and kidnaps her. Jess comes down looking for Kara and finds no trace of her. Jess calls Debra, Kara's mom, who ends up calling the police who thinks she's run away. But Debra knows better. Meanwhile, the kidnapper takes Kara back to his apt, bound and gagged, and lays out the ground rules while Kara studies her surroundings. The movie then takes a darker turn with all that she has to go through and endure with her captor which the audience doesn't need to see and isn't shown. However, this movie, unlike others, has the victim escaping to tell her story to the police as a survivor! Filmed in Manitoba, the supporting Canadian cast does a fine job. Definitely recommended!!!
