This episode was interesting. For a larger part, it took a jab at non-profits, particularly black-led ones of how they were exploiting the guilt and the racial topics. This felt particularly apt given the controversy surrounding the BLM nonprofit organization as well. I think that ANY nonprofit for any purposes should be carefully scrutinized as they can really just help those who lead it, rather than the ones they intended to help. But again, it's a difficult space to navigate because everybody has to eat, got ulterior motives, and exploitation is rampant both ways. Alfred's involvement with the leaders of these nonprofit orgs were hilarious and honestly Brian Henry always pulls off the role perfectly.

Outside of that, we see Darius' disgust with how a white person took over the traditional Naija restaurant and gentrified it. It does feel wrong on many levels but this happens so frequently that it's not even surprising anymore. We also get to see more development between Earn and Van's relationship after how Earn got Van out of trouble and got a free stay at a fancy hotel using his newfound skills as a manager. But I don't know why they did our girl Van dirty like that by indicating that she actually stole the wig. I feel like she's been reduced a lot in this season and been hindered her potential as a character. At this point, she's just like a confused floater that has little impact on the overall story. It feels like a waste of a character. I guess that could indicate her character development because she is indeed a complex character who seems to be going through self image issues. I just wish they spent more time on her.
