The Good Detective (2020–2022)

Awful people

Warning: Spoilers
I quit after the execution. Almost every character was a horrible person in this show. Even then I would have given it a chance but the justification just seemed laughable to me. They make it out to be as selfishness when it's just being an awful person. You can be selfish and still be a good person. But you can't be a good person when that selfishness (for not losing your job/promotion) causes the loss of someone life. Especially when you're well aware of that. "You can be like that (not selfish) but you can't judge us for being selfish". One of them said this basically. Are you kidding me? Of course everyone can judge you. Because multiple people thought like this, someone lost his life and someone had to live as a "murderer' daughter" for 5 years. I just couldn't watch it anymore as these people didn't even feel guilty or had any repercussions. I have seen series with awful people. But there at least the majority doesn't condone it.

Even the girl reporter who seemed a good person, when she could've saved an innocent man's life, she didn't. There was so much wrong in this in series and so much blame to pass around but nobody even acknowledged it. "Only the culprit is at fault". What kind of nonsense is this. All the people who contributed in some way in his execution (and didn't try to fix it) are to blame. BECAUSE IT WAS THEIR FREAKING JOB! Their job is to literally find the real culprit. And if in the process you've witnessed something that wasn't right, it's YOUR job to at least tell the truth about it. ESPECIALLY if someone's life is on the line. But no. They chose not to because their career was more important than a man's life. That isn't just being selfish anymore. That's being a horrible person.

In conclusion; hated most of the people, hated the justification, hated the lesson of "you can be selfish, even if an innocent life is at stake. It doesn't make you a horrible person", hated the lesson "only the culprit is to blame. Even if you contributed to turning an innocent person's life upside down and didn't try to mend that mistake when you had that opportunity". Hated so much in this series. It's not even funny.
