From the film description you know this is another contestant to the death production. These are hardly unique and I imagine have been going on since before gladiator times. This one is run by JaxPro (Brad Belemjian) an Internet celebrity with 100 million followers, He has assembled a bunch of people for his show, that they don't realize it is to the death and there is just one winner. We have a pretty good idea who that winner will be as Carrie Miller (Lacy Hartselle) is introduced first. It is the code of the horror genre seldom broken. The winner of the contest gets his usename and password to his site with 100 million followers.
The first game they play is Simon Sez and a man in a Fox suit (Patrick Sharn) comes out. I could not help think they were paying homage to Sonny Fox, host of Wonderama who played the most wicked game of Simon Sez for you old east coast folks who got WNEW-TV. They go on to play all kids games, some with a twist until it is last man standing. In addition to making us root for Carrie, there is the antagonist within the group, Squish (Cael Adcock) who plays dirty to win. In order to overcome male muscle, Carrie must use her brains to win. Additional games (might consider spoilers) are Hop Scotch, Hide n Seek, tether ball, Hangman, musical chairs, and capture the flag.
Some of the parts dragged and were different than other films of the genre and yet there were some interesting twists. We are told the game was inspire by an octopus and not a squid as we all suspect.
