I was expecting an overly sentimental Hallmark channel style holiday movie. What I could not prepare for was white supremacist propaganda. Angela is played charmingly by Christina Milian who is the only positive aspect of this film. Angela is part of a mixed race family with roots in Brooklyn. Then through a magic snow globe Angela is transported to what she describes as the "perfect Christmas" but is actually a town inhabited by only white people. At first I thought the film could get interesting with a Peele/Get Out approach. But it just kept doubling down on selling whiteness as the dream Christmas. There was absolutely nothing appealing about Douglass as a leading man. Like all the characters in the glove, he was empty headed and without substance. No Angela is dreaming of a love like that.
