Ridiculous, but Meghan Ory and little Blade the dog are adorable in this sweet road trip romance.

Yeah, the plot is certainly far-fetched. If the FBI was full of so many incompetent agents, we'd be in a lot of trouble.

And yeah, the road they travel is nothing like the real I-5 that they were supposedly on while traveling from California through Oregon.

And no one, absolutely no one, at least no sane person, would ever play the same song on a jukebox over and over, every hour, every day, while standing there looking sad and depressed. And if, as in this movie, the owner of a bar played Blue Christmas nonstop, his bar would go out of business.

And nobody is going to make a living doing the kind of crafts that Ashley does.

But Meghan Ory is beyond lovable in this movie. And Andrew Walker is a Hallmark all-star. Their chemistry is great.

And Blade the dog is very cute.

I enjoy a good road trip romance movie. It gives the characters (and the audience) a chance to see whether there's chemistry between the two main characters as they get to know each other. I loved how this movie references the first great road trip romance movie : It Happened One Night. They even copied the famous "walls of Jericho" scene. There are also some fun references to other movies like David Lean's Brief Encounter and Romancing the Stone.

This was an admittedly flawed movie but I still enjoyed it, and I grade Hallmark movies on a curve.
