The episode in premise wants to be an episodic chapter of rick and morty, but it is not so, you have not noticed that the ideas are running out and that surprise the audience that only follows rick and morty by how "Edgys or Bordelines" they can be, they are no longer the main audience they want to reach, Now they are serious about writing what is slowly redemption for Rick.
