The Dynamite Trio
3 December 2022
A young chemist bored of studying medicine at his dad's apothecary dreams of becoming a martial arts expert. When one day when his father is out of town a injured man comes to his shop for help. The man had been badly beaten and is being chased by a pair of thugs, so the young man agrees to help the injured party, thinking he might make some quick money. Unable to pay though, the man he helped leaves him a stolen kung fu manual and promises to return for it soon, but alas this never happens as he is killed by the villains on his way to his uncle's White house - his uncle happens to be a Mantis Fist Master and the rightful owner of the manual.

Meanwhile, the kid studies the kung fu manual and quickly becomes proficient in the deadly art of Mantis, and uses his skills on those who beat him up, just to teach them a lesson, but his style draws attention from the villains out to steal the book...

I don't know if you could learn Kung fu from a manual but the hero here does just that. This film is in the mould of snake in the Eagle's shadow, and it's an entertaining one. Not at all boring, it has some fun Kung fu and some comedic moments. It's action-packed, amusing, and has one menacing villain, though, for once, he hasn't got white hair!
