Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. The first and only film tied to the series and the heroic conclusion to the animated series. Much like the mask of the Phantasm Return of the joker's success in capturing the feel and tone of the show. It manages to give a satisfying ending and deliver a powerful and deep story with its characters and writing. The movie overall is great the series itself manages to find its fans while not a critical hit it explains the Batman mythos and in turn made of new legacy out of the character with Terry. From its more sci-fi tone to its original story and with a whole new line of heroes and villains. With a couple of cameos and references, one of the biggest questions left unanswered was wanted ever happened to Joker. So the plot of the film sold itself with Mark Hamill returning to voice his iconic performances. Kevin Connery is great as always The drama centered around Bruce, Barbara, and the return of Tim Drake with a very dark subplot. While not as much a personal journey for Terry, it does do a great job of showing his determination to step up as Batman. The action is huge and is on par with the show and the music is awesome.
