Wednesday: A Murder of Woes (2022)
Season 1, Episode 8
4/10
Disappointing ending
24 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Although it was very predictable that Marilyn was the villain way before this episode, I accepted that and enjoyed that Ricci got to play the bad guy. However - what was her motivation? Spending all this time and effort on bringing back this guy from the dead - who had a slightly magic stick that didn't hurt anyone?

The fire it spread didn't hurt anyone even though people were still in the building, and then he was fought off by two teenagers. It was really anticlimactic and lazily written.

It was also frustrating to see Principal Larissa get killed without attempting to defend herself, weird that Enid on her first night as a werewolf could take down the most feared creature to exist, and very unbelievable that the boy that just woke up from a coma ran to the school with all the bees to kill Marilyn.

I know it's harsh, but all this buildup was so clever and intriguing, so it was a huge letdown to have such a simple, disney channel ending.
