Stupid and lazy writing
21 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Sheridan is being presented as some kind of master story teller, and at one time he may have been. Unfortunately Tulsa King is simply thr latest of a string of stupid premises supported by lazy writing. Old gangster gets out of prison after 25 years and proceeds to piss off all of the new guard in his old gang, punches one of them and walks out alive. Ok, if you say so. Goes to Tulsa where he just happens to meet the one cab driver who is morally ambivalent enough to help him. They drive by a marijuana dispensary and he decides to just walk in and take over. Sure, whatever. Then he appoints his cabbie as his official driver and gives him 50k cash to buy an SUV, which he can't because the dealership thinks he's a drug dealer (not to mention that a transaction that size would require to be reported) so the Tulsa King punches the owner and the deal is done. Whatever. Then he hooks up with a woman who's out on some kind of hen party who just happens to be an ATF agent. Now you are just wasting my time.

This is just bad story telling and sad, lazy writing. And across the Sheridanverse it is just getting worse. I won't be wasting any more of my time on something this contrived going forward.
