Cute but mostly unaccurate

I have mixed emotions about the creative liberty taken to create this story. I enjoyed how the movie progressed, everything happened in order and there were flashbacks to fill in any knowledge gaps. I did not like the allusions to the Infancy Gospel of Thomas because it is not in scripture for a reason. The scene with him raising a bird from the dead or healing a little boy seemed unnecessary to the plot. Him healing the blind man at Passover seems like a stretch. In the bible he was listening to a teacher before his parents found him but it is not mentioned that he had healed anyone (Luke 2:46-48). In the bible, it is not clear on whether Jesus knew what he was capable of. The bible focuses on Jesus healing as an adult but the movie insinuates that he has known that he could heal even as a child. Scriptures state that Jesus grew and with growth became filled with the grace of God (Luke 2:40). I feel like this implies that he was unaware of his purpose, which is shown in the movie, and of his healing capabilities. Making him able to heal from the beginning like the movie did can emphasize Jesus as more God than human, when Jesus is 100 percent God and 100 percent Human. This movie was very entertaining but from a theological standpoint, it required too much creative liberty and can affect the way people view Christ.
