Inside Man: Episode #1.1 (2022)
Season 1, Episode 1
6/10
Interesting, slightly confused start.

The Death row Detective is approached by a journalist, a journalist that's loosely connected to a crime in a sleepy English village.

This has Stephen Moffat all over it, if you've say watching Dracula or Sherlock, scratching your head and wondering what's going on, then you will be doing some of that here. It's quite a complex first episode, but it's very watchable.

A few issues putting the pieces together, and some of the connections are tenuous to say the least, I found it so strange, and so hard to believe that a Vicar would behave in such a strange way. I suppose the parallels being that nobody has the idea to kill, it just happens, is that what he was trying to put across.

I adore David Tennant, arguably one of my favourite actors of all, but here the presence of Stanley Tucci is what makes this very watchable, plus the music.

The best scene for me had to be Senator's interview in the prison, I found the details around the payments so interesting.

Janice was just irritating, hopefully she'll develop a little.

6/10.
