I lived in London in 1952...... It was vet bad but it was common to have to wear a mask which was yellow after use.
This program is interesting but so repetitive...... do they have to keep saying the same thing dozens of times.. .... This program could have been one episode of half the time.
The buildings in London were coated in soot and the reason was that there was no alternative to heat your house at the time. Now if course there are even more people dying of pollution in London because of diesel, nitrogen oxides. Etc etc.
And what's all this about the smog affecting working class areas?.. So the smog didn't get to Chelsea?
