This was a sweet hallmark-esque love story with a predictable storyline and mostly dimensionless characters. What I found surprising is that I thought the side characters had more depth than the mains! Not due to the acting, which was fine, but the progression of the story. I wish we had seen their love story develop more intricately. The story seemed rushed, from the first meeting to the interjection of the exes to the airport catch-up scene, and even the return of the mother's long-lost love... leaving some parts of the story up to the imagination of the viewer is essential and seeing it play out on screen can come across as too cheesy. There is a need to pull the viewer in by creating characters with more personality and allowing the viewer to form a deeper connection to them.
