This film is wonderful. It captures the most defining moments in the life and career of Elvis Presley. It could be more in depth though, as some parts of his life and career are glossed over rather swiftly.
Austin Butler convinces as the title character and sometimes, in the right camera angle, he looks uncannely like the real Elvis. Tom Hanks as Tom Parker is the antagonist and narrator. His 'Dutch' accent is off and comes across as a mere speech impediment. (And I am Dutch, so I would recognize that accent when I hear it. I probably have it myself when I speak English) The decor of this movie is well done, the interiors of Graceland, the International Hotel and the Comeback Special are very good. The costuming is perfect. And sometimes real footage is blend in throughout the film. At the very end we'll see the real Elvis performing and in private footage.
