I really do like Lil Kim - well the music she made a long time ago. That being said, I want to make it clear that this may sound like an attack and it is not meant to make it look like she is at fault or the sole reason the movie doesn't work.
I actually had heard of this movie back in the days. But I never got around watching the movie - and when I did the other day, I was more than dissapointed. It is still putting it mildly if I talk about this being weak. And it does have some real actors too though (again, sorry Kim, but she should never have been allowed to do this in the first place). But even they can't save the mess this became. Actually I dare anyone to watch this and then The harder they fall (or Posse I assume) and not think that there are massive worlds between those movies.
Cliches be damned - a movie can work with them too. But you do need some straight shooters for that - no pun intended. A shame then, but one that I reckon was to be expected, especially if you saw the low score - which I clearly didn't. But that would not have made any difference. Maybe my expectations would have been lower ... anyway, unfortunately nothing to see here ... well not much that is (excuse the pun) ... same goes for the sequel unfortunately.
