So much potential but not many takeaways

Warning: Spoilers
A(NE)K - The stress is on the two letters NE - North East. And that is the central stage of the movie. Unfortunately, there should have been something memorable which is not the case. Let me come to the areas that did not work out at all:

1. An unnecessary element of romance that is not at all thought provoking. Thankfully, the sub-plot was buried off rather unceremoniously.

2. An extremely over the top geography lesson that made absolutely no sense, the debate had no context whatsoever.

3. The songs in the movie just don't feel like they belong to the storyline.

4. The movie fails to evoke emotions and sympathy for any of the killings, and this is a strong statement coming from a highly emotional person.

5. One of the characters Anjaiah played by J. D. Chakravarthy is a big disappointment given the role that he has been put into.

Please do not tag this movie as a political thriller, the element of suspense is extremely weak and it's feel cliched as well.

This is not worth recommending to anyone unless you are fond of Ayushmann Khurrana. He has done his level best in a movie that feels so cold when it should not be.
