Back in the day, I've already stopped watching this show by this season, because as teenager from the 90's, I had a real life to live and the show eventually got really boring to me.
Looking back it's quite obvious: the female stereotype that the girls must always have "boy troubles" and insecurities caused by this, the betrayals between so-called "best friends", no real growth, just the same storylines but with different characters. It became "Joey's Creek" or "Pacey's Creek" at some point.
Michelle Williams' character get bad storylines for a very good character and a young actress with a lot to offer.
The only nice thing was to see Julie Bowen as Dawson's artsy aunt and when reality hits Mitch and Gail, because at some point in life, it starts to happen and life is not about kissing or not kissing your ex's best friend, but about much more important things.
