Warning: Spoilers
A freelance journalist decides to follow a story about a man who built his own submarine by going on an underwater ride with him. Because she is used to reporting in war torn countries, she considers the interview to be a kind of novelty piece about how and why a quirky scientists would build a submarine. She thinks it will be fun.

Unfortunately, she wrong. Her interview subject returns to port without her or the submarine. He can't quite say what happened, but soon bits and pieces of the journalist begin to wash up on the shores around the launch site. When the bits wash up, they have clearly been removed from her body with an axe.

It's hard to imagine the terror Kim must have felt when she found herself alone on the sea bottom in a fancy tin can with a man wielding an axe. It's equally hard to fathom how devastating it was for the police who found the body parts to realize that the expertise of the axe marks meant Kim was not the first victim.

Now only part of the story is told. The rest will be told when the cops find the bits of the other bodies.
