Review of War of Lies

War of Lies (2014)
6/10
Frustrating

It was or rather sounded quite intriguing. Hearing from the man who was "responsible" for the war in Iraq. For the assumption that they had Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs). Unfortunately the documentary seems to lose its focus - or rather be focused too much on the one individual.

It is nice to see that point of view (vantage point) - and he seems to have some merit in some of the things he is saying. If it wasn't him - they probably would have used someone else to find an excuse for a war. But it also seems that he does not care too much. Even when at some moment there might be an inner struggle and even sadness that comes forward.

But there is so much more that I would have loved to know. So much more that could have been explored and disected ... as it is, it still is intriguing and quite the oddity ... but this alone will not paint the whole picture. Not even half of it ...
