Evil Things (2009)

Warning: Spoilers
The characters are likeable and the premise of the plot is an interesting one (well I mean it would be, but I've already seen Spielbergs duel). For a found footage flick it was pretty well shot and those 3 points are why I charitably gave it 3 stars.

I've seen better acting at a kindergarten nativity play. Seriously the 'action' such as it is doesn't start for the first half of the movie and for the other half all these guys had to do was pretend to be people! How on earth do you mess that up? The aforementioned 'action' consisted of a group of young people running around a large house screaming off camera because of what turned out to be as far as I can tell, a jump scare in a panel van. All that I can live with, I love well made found footage movies and it's a fact of life that to see well made found footage, you've got to sit through allot of terribly made found footage. What REALLY annoyed me about this movie though is that after taking 67 minutes of my life that I'm never getting back, they had the bare faced cheek to spend the last 15 spoonfeeding me some tacked on message about not spending your life looking down a lense and being aware of your surroundings... or... something.

Truth be told I only started watching because I thought the newsreader in the thumbnail looked like Kristen Bell and was like "Ooh Veronica Mars in a movie?" Seriously don't waste the time this film will Rob you of, life's too short.
