The story is about an Irish Traveller girl, Frances, who loves boxing and Muhammad Ali. She fights against society and she wants to protect her people.
I really liked the fact that it is about Irish Travellers. Before the film, I didn't know that in Ireland, there were Travellers. It was really interesting to know that.
I have also liked the story. A young woman, who fights for her rights, her liberty, against the society. The contrast between Frances and her brother was interesting. Both can't be themselves because of society because they are "boy" or "girl".
However, there is something I didn't really like. At the beginning, Frances's mother died. For me, the mother's death is unrealistic. A policeman pushed her and she died, okay there was blood but... you can't die in 3min when you are pushed down.
Also, at the end, Frances arrived like by magic on the beach and, obviously, at tthe right moment.
Frances' film actress, Hazel Doupe, has a very good acting, she is a really good actress.
Finally, it is a great and interesting film, with a good story but with some unrealistic scenes or it seems like unrealistic.
However, Irecommend it !
