I know a few former special forces operators and they are all serious, disciplined men in civilian life. We're talking attorneys, accountants, trainers, professionals, family men. I cannot imagine any one of them acting the undisciplined, prisoner killing, infighting a-holes this team are portrayed as. No one in command would select this lot for anything more significant and politically sensitive than cleaning latrines.
There is one character to hate, yet none to like. The men are jerks, the spouses are jerks, and not surprisingly the kids are jerks. With one exception you don't wish any of them ill, but you aren't rooting very hard for any of them either.
Five stars for the action scenes. No stars for the lack of realism and Hollywood everyone-is-flawed-trash-like-us portrayal of soldiers doing a difficult job. Five stars.
