This story is about Frances, a girl raised in nomadic camps in a rural region of Ireland. She wants to defend her family and her community, but her father, who teaches her to fight doesn't want her to become a boxer because of his sadness.
I find this movie very interesting, thanks to the actors. Hazel Doupe, the girl who plays Frances is very good at her job and knows how to make people who watch her feel emotion. Dara Devaney, France's father, is pretty good too because I was mad at him even if it is a movie.
Even if I think the actors are good, I think this movie was a little bit too long, sometimes it was very boring and the movie was always played in the same places with the same characters. The fight between the sergeant and the gypsy camps was so childish.
Several times in this movie big gaps happen so that's very unrealistic, but that's a movie.
Nevertheless, I really liked the message behind the film, everything boys can do, girls can do it too and girls, even if they live in a traveller group can choose their own future, they don't have to be married and be pregnant when boys want to, it's the woman's choice, not the man's choice. They can do boy's activities too.
