This B western has a lot of technical problems. The trucolor isn't very good-the color palette is oversaturated with orange and blue. The film has a tawdry feel because of this. Likewise, the coverage of scenes and/or editing is jerky. There are several bad jump cuts. I think they might have even crossed the line once.
But I was deeply entertained by this film. Cookie is give an absurd subplot. A raccoon is the star of a "fox" hunt. Dale plays a wester novelist that annoys Roy for being inauthentic only to have Roy use a trope in her novel to save the day. This is a grab bag of the Rogers films.
