At first this seems very much like a been-there-done-that supernatural 'sinister spirit in my house' meets 'ghost hunters' movie - and it is, for the most part, but then we are introduced to various wacky characters and it gets increasingly goofy as the tension mounts until it becomes almost an extended SNL skit... but as the outrageously cartoonish but strangely unsettling final act concludes, it hit me..
it's basically an hour and a half episode of Creepshow.
This could quite easily sit alongside 80's camp outings like The Dead Pit or Night Of The Demons.
