This series has been a true revelation and season 2 has even managed to improve upon season 1. While the animation is not always top notch like say Castlevania, the script is among the best I've witnessed. It avoids traditional fantasy tropes and is full of twists and turns, all the while having real emotional impact. The dialogue never breaks its high concept language and the intersparsed use of poetry makes it into something really powerful and a joy to behold.
