Rewatching this as an adult continues to be a disappointment. I get the fact that they don't want to keep the original plot in the mythology, but if you make your own, at least keep the consistency.
Zeus saying he can't interfere with the other gods, which btw, who are those apart from Ares who wanted his wife dead. Zeus being the most powerful among them, seems to be the old man who changes faces and throws 2 words every now on then.
Then of course Hercules being married is a plot issue and you need to "fix" it in the same episode, but why the heck do you still create it?
Either the standards for plot were very low back then or the writers working on this were very bad.
