Review of Lovebird

Lovebird (2013–2014)

A beautiful period series
6 February 2022
I started watching this series after I watched Fahriye Evcen in Alparslan series. She's a talented actress and is perfect for her role as Feride. Also, I always enjoy a colorful entertainment period series. I've just finished episode 4 and I know I will finish the entire series happily. I read that it has an ending that may not be conclusive but I'm happy to continue with this series as it is really very well executed in many aspects. It does not only deal with romance and family issues but the viewer also get to watch how other things are addressed during that time for instance how diseases are treated within the boundaries then. Love the cast, the costumes, the colors, the cinematography and wonderful music. The development of the female main character as a sad child who lost both parents to a beautiful lady is done so well. We see her confused with her feelings for her cousin. At the moment I'm not sure about Kamran (the male lead) as to how his feelings are for her. He is older and is her warden and has a relationship with a widow but yet is reluctant to see Feride having a relationship with another. Will see how the relationship develops.
