After a couple difficult days I decided that I wanted something light, funny, and that I wouldn't have to think too much about, so I chose Other People. I didn't read anything about the story/plot but just assumed at 97 minutes and Molly Shannon, it must be light and funny. Oh boy, was I mistaken! Yes, there is a healthy does of humor here which I did enjoy. However, it is juxtaposed with the sadness of Molly Shannon's character dying of cancer. I like Jesse Plemons and his performance is solid. However, his character is a bit self-involved and too full of self-pity to allow space for some of the other supporting characters to fully develop, like his two sisters. Anyway, I did for the most part enjoy Other People.
