If you haven't experienced the pains of immigrating to another country, maybe this movie isn't for you. For me as a Syrian immigrant, this movie touched me in every way.
Beside the politics, this movie presented a view of the lives of immigrants in countries they ended up in. Many would have rather stayed in their homeland but could not, due to political or economic reasons. Immigrants work hard, contribute to building the economy of their adopted country. Without immigrants America would have never prospered.
